Michel Reis Trio feat. United Instruments of Lucilin

Description

The result of a long-standing desire to create a joint project, pianist and composer Michel Reis teamed up with the United Instruments of Lucilin ensemble in May 2023 to present an original composition for ensemble and jazz trio as part of the Like a Jazz Machine Festival in Opderschmelz. To complete the jazz line-up, Michel Reis called on two renowned musicians: drummer Jonas Burgwinkel and bassist Robert Landfermann.

In 2024 the project will be back on stage, this time at the Trifolion in Echternach. Composed especially for Lucilin, the piece, conceived as a suite, oscillates between written music and improvisation, and promises an evening full of musical colour, on the frontiers of contemporary music and jazz.
