Set in 1981 in rural Ireland, this film tells the story of a young girl, Cáit, who is sent away for the summer from her dysfunctional family to live with "her mother's people", Seán and Eibhlín Cinnsealac,; a middle-aged couple she has never met. Slowly, in the care of this couple, Cáit blossoms and discovers a new way of living; but in this house where affection grows and there are meant to be no secrets, she discovers one.

The first Irish language film to be selected to have its world premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival (2022) where it was awarded the Grand Prix at the Berlinale Generation Kplus.

Winner of Best Film, Best Director, Best Lead Actress from 6 nominations at the Irish Film & Television Academy Awards (IFTAs) 2022.
