PRIVACY POLICY

The purpose of this notice is to define the conditions under which the economic interest grouping Luxembourgticket G.I.E., established with its registered office at L-1610 Luxembourg, 14 avenue de la Gare, registered with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register under number C181 (hereinafter "we" or the "GIE"), collects and processes the personal data of users (the "Users" or "you") of the luxembourgticket website accessible via the web addresses www.luxembourgticket.lu, www.luxembourg-ticket.lu, www.luxembourgtickets.lu and www.luxembourg-tickets.lu (the "Site").

What personal data are processed by the GIE?

Personal data is information that makes it possible to identify, directly or indirectly, a natural person.

With the exception of the cookies mentioned below, we do not collect any other personal data than those that you voluntarily enter on the Site or spontaneously provide to us by email, in particular to get in touch with us or to use our services.
This information includes, without this enumeration being exhaustive, your title, surname, first name, date of birth, postal address, language, telephone number and email address.

For what purposes are these personal data collected and processed?

The personal data collected by the GIE (the "Personal Data") are processed by the GIE for the following purposes:
  • To communicate with you and provide you with the information requested;
  • To grant you access to the services offered on the Site. In this context, your data will be processed solely for the purpose of verifying compliance with the Terms of Use of the event addition request, registering an event on the Site or contacting the User in case of questions or need for additional information; to promote the events listed on the Site;
  • To promote the GIE's activities by sending newsletters, subject to your prior express consent to this effect;
  • Processing of requests for access, rectification and objection, as well as other rights relating to personal data;
  • Management of complaints and disputes;
  • Preparation of visit statistics;
  • Display of personalised content based on the interests and preferences of Users.
The Personal Data are necessary for the performance of the services requested by the User, as well as to enable the GIE to fulfil its legal obligations. They are also necessary for the GIE's legitimate interest in order to enable it to promote its activities and improve the browsing experience on the Site.

These purposes constitute the legal basis for the data processing carried out by the GIE.

To whom are the collected Personal Data disclosed?

The Personal Data are processed internally by duly authorised persons, within the limits of their respective responsibilities.
They may also be disclosed to the GIE's partners, to the competent administrative and judicial authorities, as well as to the GIE's processors (in particular IT service providers) and external service providers, such as website designers, communication agencies, etc., to the strict extent necessary and subject to the existence of contractual guarantees ensuring the security and confidentiality of the data.

How does the GIE protect the Personal Data it processes?

The Personal Data thus collected by the GIE are processed by it, as data controller, in compliance with the applicable data protection legislation (in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 and the Law of 1 August 2018 on the organisation of the National Commission for Data Protection and the general data protection regime relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as any other subsequent regulations).

The GIE undertakes to implement technical and organisational security measures to ensure the protection of the Personal Data against the risks associated with the use of information systems.

The GIE complies with generally accepted security standards to protect Users' personal data on the Site. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, the GIE cannot guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Data.

What rights do Users have?

In accordance with currently applicable law, Users are entitled to obtain, free of charge:
  • Access to the Personal Data concerning them;
  • Confirmation as to whether or not Personal Data concerning them are being processed;
  • Information covering at least the purposes of the processing, the categories of data concerned by the processing and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data are disclosed, as well as
  • Communication, in an intelligible form, of the Personal Data undergoing processing.
Within the limits provided for by the applicable texts, the User also has a right to rectification of the Personal Data concerning him/her and a right to object to the collection and processing of such data, subject to providing reasons relating to his/her particular situation. He/she is also entitled to request the erasure of all or part of the data or a restriction of processing, and to exercise his/her right to data portability.

These rights may be exercised by email, sent to the following address: info@luxembourgticket-gie.lu. We may ask you to send us a scan of your identity document in case of doubt, so that we can verify your identity before processing your request.

You may also withdraw your consent to the sending of newsletters at any time, either by following the instructions mentioned in the email, or by sending us an email to the address mentioned above.

You also have the possibility to lodge a complaint, in the event of failure(s) to comply with the applicable rules on the protection of personal data, with a supervisory authority such as the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD), whose registered office is at 15, Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux.

What is a cookie?
