The new Sequenda production of The Barber of Seville will be an explosion of youth and freshness, full of bright colours.
We will follow the cunning machinations of Figaro, Seville's most famous barber, as he helps the Count of Almaviva conquer the beautiful Rosina, escaping the traps of the sinister tutor Don Bartolo.
The innovative and fun staging by Daniele Piscopo enriched with flamboyant costumes and dynamic choreography, will pay homage to Rossini's brilliant and timeless comedy, offering a sparkling and unforgettable show.
The evening will begin with the creation of the “Fantasy on the Barber of Seville”, specially composed for Sequenda by the Luxembourg composer Ivan Boumans, skillfully and mischievously diverting the original work composed by Rossini in 1816.
This production highlights young soloists, testifying to the quality and reputation of the Sequenda company in international opera circles.
