Raul Midón
Ever since he was told as a child that his blindness meant "you can't do this and you can't do that", Raul Midón has dedicated his life to fighting against all odds and prejudices, learning his own lessons along the way. Grammy-nominated Midón has not only released 10 studio albums as a solo artist, but has also collaborated with musical talents such as Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers, and worked on recordings by Queen Latifah, Snoop Dogg and the soundtrack to Spike Lee's She Hate Me (2014).
Pablo Campos Quartet
From Basque and Argentinian origins, pianist, singer, composer and arranger Pablo Campos now lives in Paris, where he studied both political science and history. Initially a self-taught pianist, he had the chance to study in his teenage years with jazz masters such as Barry Harris, Benny Green or Dado Moroni. As a singer, Pablo studied with the late french crooner Marc Thomas, and developed a style strongly inspired by Nat King Cole (probably his strongest influence both vocally and on the piano).
His latest album as a leader, "People Will Say" (Jazztime Records, 2019) has been recorded in New York with two masters of American Jazz, Peter and Kenny Washington.
Aside from his trio and quartet, Pablo Campos is a founding member of the ZOOT Collectif, where young musicians of the Parisian jazz scene meet.
Line-Up:
Pablo Campos - piano & vocals
Dave Blenhorn - guitar
Viktor Nyberg - double bass
Philippe Maniez - percussions
