Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie - Wolfgang Hentrich - SoRyang
The youngest top orchestra in Germany regularly causes amazement on an international level through the excellence of its playing. Under the baton of its Principal Conductor Wolfgang Hentrich, the orchestra can be heard and experienced for the first time in the Philharmonie.
Wolfgang Hentrich, who is also First Concertmaster of the Dresden Philharmonic and Director of the Dresden Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, presents a varied programme with the Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie and the pianist SoRyang, including works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Dmitri Shostakovich and Frédéric Chopin, among others.
Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 will be presented by SoRyang, an internationally successful pianist with regular appearances in the most important concert halls (including the Vienna Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kulturpalast Dresden, Tonhalle Zurich, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Carnegie Hall New York). SoRyang, who is Austrian artist with South Korean roots, is especially dedicated to the the Romantic piano literature - a passion that can be heard on this concert evening as well.
